What a frustrating three weeks it’s been for the Buffalo Bills and their fans alike. Since Buffalo’s thoroughly dominating victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 (which gave them a half-game lead in the AFC East), the team has gone 1-2, and sitting at 4-3 on the season. The season is anything but over, but the Bills have a difficult schedule ahead of them.
Coming off of last Sunday’s disheartening loss on the road against the New England Patriots, Buffalo must now prepare to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a very short week as the two teams meet in primetime for Thursday Night Football. Despite the Bills’ struggles in October, the offense is still a force even on its worst days, and the defense has balled out amid a rash of injuries, many of which have been the season-ending Injured Reserve (IR) variety. Even prior to their Week 7 loss (despite their struggles against the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants), most Bills fans would have said the Buccaneers should be one of the easier games on the remaining schedule. But we all know how last Sunday’s game went — that one against an inferior opponent with one win in six tries. So taking Thursday’s opponent lightly should be the furthest thing from everyone’s mind, within the team and the fan base.
How are you feeling about the Buffalo Bills right now, after seven games? Are you confident the Bills are headed in the right direction? Will the Buffalo Bills defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8?
