The Buffalo Bills host the New York Jets today in what is a tremendous contest for both squads in terms of their playoff hopes for 2023. With a loss, the Bills would drop to 5-6. The Jets would drop to 4-6 with a loss. A win for the Jets puts them at 5-5 with a tie-breaker over Buffalo thanks to a season-sweep. A win for the Bills puts them at 6-5 and momentarily stops their midseason tailspin.
The last time the Bills and Jets met back in Week 1, nobody expected that quarterback Zach Wilson would play. However, after future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon, it was Wilson leading the Jets to a comeback win over quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills. That comeback was possible thanks in large part to four turnovers from the Bills, all of which were committed by Allen — who threw three interceptions and lost a fumble in the game.
