Big win keeps playoff hopes alive

It was another nail biter, but the Buffalo Bills managed to pull off a road victory against the Kansas City Chiefs to keep their playoff aspirations alive. The game didn’t have the offensive electricity of some of the past matchups of these AFC heavyweights, but was not short on drama.

Regardless of the lack of scoring, uncontroversial penalties, and petulant whining the Bills walked away from vaunted Arrowhead Stadium with their third straight regular-season win. They are tied for the most regular-season wins (3) at Arrowhead during Patrick Mahomes’ career with the Los Angeles Chargers who have played twice as many games there. They are also the only team to have beaten the Mahomes-led Chiefs in three straight regular season meetings at Arrowhead.

Unfortunately for the Bills, there are a few memorable playoff losses mixed in amongst those regular-season wins. Even so, at 3-2, the Bills have the highest winning percentage (0.600) against Mahomes at Arrowhead of any team that has played more than a single game there. It will take a playoff victory at Arrowhead to truly exercise all the demons, but the Bills have played their tails off in a venue that is usually difficult for opponents.
