Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys first-half open thread

A big game and maybe a torrent of rain this evening

Buffalo Bills vs Dallas Cowboys - Week 15

The Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys are set to do battle in what should be a fantastic football game this afternoon. For the Bills, a win would greatly improve both their morale and their playoff chances — both of which are on the rise after last week’s 20-17 victory on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs. For Dallas, today is another step towards clinching the NFC East crown — something that’s well within their reach after last week’s 33-13 dismantling of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys have won five straight games. The Bills haven’t won in consecutive weeks since a three-game win streak that spanned Weeks 2, 3, and 4. The Cowboys are just 3-3 on the road this season, while the Bills are 5-2 as the home team — and 5-1 at Highmark Stadium in the 2023 season.

Driving wind and rain is expected throughout the game, which could make life more difficult on quarterbacks Josh Allen and Dak Prescott. Even if these two excellent quarterbacks are able to deliver the football accurately to their receivers, a slippery football is difficult to catch — so ball security is going to play an even larger role than normal today.
