I am firmly on team “Let people like things” and wanted to get that out of the way really quickly here. With that being said, all of us have to deal with this next topic in our weekend chat threads.
What is your take on holiday music?
In Buffalo, 96.1 has taken over the holiday music format from the dearly departed 120.5, and they flipped the switch to holiday music on November 1. I was buying hockey skates for my son the week before Thanksgiving, and the store was blaring holiday music. My daughter’s school held a holiday music sing-along in November.
So like I said, we all have to navigate holiday music at some point, so what’s your take? When is the right time for it to enter the public sphere each year? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts.
Bonus: My favorite albums to play are A Charlie Brown Christmas with the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s instrumentals and Leslie Odom, Jr.’s Simplay Christmas. Michael Bublé is great, too. Share yours below.

We’re continuing to dust off an old favorite this week as we get further into the 2023 NFL season. We used to run open threads around TV shows like LOST and just general Friday night open threads. Let’s quote the OG Brian Galliford:
Welcome to the weekend, Buffalo Bills fans. We’ve got a couple more days before the Bills take the field, and after a long week, it’s time to blow off a little steam. Use this thread to talk about... well, whatever it is you’d like to talk about. Maybe you’d like to share a cool story from your week. I know I do!
