It’s been anything but an ordinary NFL season for the Buffalo Bills. After coming out of the gate strong, the Bills stumbled to a 6-6 record before hitting their late-season bye. And then they flipped the switch, embarking on a five-game winning streak to finish the season 11-6, winning the franchise’s fourth-consecutive AFC East Division title, and claiming the two seed in the AFC.

All was well. Until the early weather reports filtered out. Now, there’s a monster of a storm hammering the greater Buffalo, NY area, and instead of hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon, they’ll meet a day later at 4:30 p.m. EST on Monday.

But none of what came before nor has happened since seemed to affect any of those who took the microphone on Thursday and Friday. Check out the full interviews from Thursday with wide receiver Stefon Diggs, running back James Cook, and linebacker Terrel Bernard. Plus, hear all of head coach Sean McDermott’s comments from his media session ahead of Bills-Steelers.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs spoke about his mindset as the team enters postseason play, plus keeping football as the main focus, using a “next play” mentality when working through on-field adversity, and the communication between Josh Allen and himself.

Diggs of course wants more out of his own game, but recognizes the importance of staying positive and working within what’s available to him.

Diggs also discussed what to focus on as it relates to facing the Steelers in the playoffs. To hear more on these topic and others, check out the full interview below.

Running back James Cook

James Cook also acknowledged the “next play” mentality within his own game, specifically relating to mistakes throughout the season. He also discussed playing within the elements, what he’s doing to prepare for the postseason, and a very astute observation about Josh Allen’s play throughout this season.

Linebacker Terrel Bernard

Terrel Bernard spoke to the importance of playing in front of Bills Mafia, what he learned from last season’s playoff run as a rookie and the uniqueness of the 2022 season. Plus, Bernard discussed the defense coming into its own as the playoffs begin, thanks to finding their defensive mentality and identity.

To hear Bernard speak on this and more — including thoughts on linebacker Baylon Spector, check out his entire interview below.

Head coach Sean McDermott

In a relatively brief Friday presser, McDermott addressed questions about those players who remain injured and unable to play, how the team prepares for winter weather and adjusts in-game — noting the importance of utilizing a good, efficient running game.

McDermott also spoke about what cornerback Taron Johnson brings to the defense and the team overall. This after he was selected as second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.
