The injuries are stacking up in Orchard Park, NY as Buffalo Bills punter Sam Martin has been declared questionable to return with a hamstring injury.
Injury Update: P Sam Martin (hamstring) is questionable to return.— Buffalo Bills PR (@BuffaloBillsPR) January 15, 2024
Martin was injured while trying to chase down a loose football after kicker Tyler Bass had a field goal attempt blocked. While running after the ball, the veteran punter who is in his second year in Buffalo, pulled up and grabbed his left leg and was obviously hobbled.

Injured it trying to run down live ball on blocked FG.
This is his plant leg, not impossible to return, but isn’t going to make it any easier. Save him for holding.

While after time in the medical tent Martin went and stood near the heaters before attempting to kick again, kicker Tyler Bass was seen on the sidelines taking long snaps from Reid Ferguson and, while the Bills were in the locker room, leading the Steelers by a score of 21-7, at halftime, the Buffalo place kicker stayed out to practice punting.

It is also of note that backup quarterback Kyle Allen has done holding duties in the past and it is likely that he could come in to hold for field goals and PATs should Martin not be able to return.
