NFL power rankings, week 13: Buffalo Bills all over the place

If you're into trying to ascribe meaning to things like power rankings, you're going to have a rough go of it this week when it comes to the Buffalo Bills.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

No one knows where to put the Buffalo Bills. That's the general impression that our conglomeration of NFL power rankings reveals, as they rank anywhere from No. 13 to No. 19, depending on your outlet of choice. To be fair, even Bills fans would have a tough time trying to figure out which team is going to show up on Sunday.

NFL.com has the Bills highest at No. 13 (eighth in the AFC), down just two spots from last week. They blame Sunday's loss to Kansas City on the offense for not being able to put together a late game-winning drive. Peter King over at The MMQB joined SB Nation in placing Buffalo at No. 15, and ninth in the AFC. That's down four at SB Nation and just a spot or two with King, who calls out the pass rush for recording seven sacks in their last six games.

The lowest Rex Ryan's squad sits is at ESPN, where their large panel of voters dropped Buffalo five spots to No. 19 overall and all the way to No. 10 in the AFC. ESPN also calls out the pass rush, noting that Buffalo hasn't recorded more than three sacks in a game this season after recording 3.4 sacks per game a year ago. Ouch.
