It wasn't that long ago that the prognosis for Jim Kelly wasn't very good, and those around him were praying for intervention. Whatever they did - doctors, praying fans, the Kelly family themselves - it worked, and Kelly is still cancer-free 18 months later according to his wife, Jill.
First diagnosed in June of 2013, Kelly's cancer came back in March of 2014. Doctors didn't perform chemotherapy after his initial surgery in 2013 specifically in case of a recurrence. When that happened, Kelly lost a considerable amount of weight and hair, but kept his fighting spirit alive with the slogan #KellyTough.
