NFL free agency 2014: should Buffalo Bills add a receiver?

After spending several draft picks on receivers in the last two years, will the Buffalo Bills look to add a veteran presence at the position this offseason?

The Buffalo Bills have used three picks from the first three rounds in the last two drafts on upgrading their wide receiver position. T.J. Graham began the moves in the third round in 2012, with Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin added in the second and third rounds, respectively, a year ago. Chris Brown of doesn't think the Bills will stop overhauling the position, though.

Three times in his weekly Fan Friday Q&A, Brown made mention of his preference that the Bills add a wide receiver through free agency, "before looking for a size receiver in the draft."

"Personally I'd prefer a proven veteran that can provide instant impact while the young players continue to develop and mature," writes Brown. "I know he's 33, but I wouldn't mind Anquan Boldin on a two-year deal. He plays bigger than his height and would instantly be the most physical receiver on the roster and can still produce. Green Bay's James Jones (29) is another player with a physical game, who can make plays and may prosper with a larger role."

Jones seems to fit Doug Whaley's propensity of signing second-wave free agents. He's averaged 800 yards and 61 catches over the last two years since stepping into the starting role in Green Bay. Boldin nabbed 85 passes for almost 1200 yards a year ago in San Francisco.

Brown also ruled out three receivers; Emmanuel Sanders on the basis of skill redundancy, and Hakeem Nicks and Kenny Britt due to consistency and injury issues..

There are an awful lot of talented receivers scheduled to hit the free agent market in 2014. (Here's a pretty long list.) Would you want the Bills to take a run at one of them? If so, who and why?
