The Buffalo Bills are down three starters and a core special teams player for today's game against the Detroit Lions. These seven players comprise today's inactive list:
- RB Bryce Brown (healthy scratch)
- WR Marcus Easley (knee)
- OT Cyrus Kouandjio (healthy scratch)
- LG Chris Williams (back)
- DT Kyle Williams (knee)
- LB Nigel Bradham (knee)
- CB Ross Cockrell (healthy scratch)
Cyril Richardson, a rookie out of Baylor, will make his second straight start at left guard in place of the veteran Williams. That drop-off is not as steep as it is as linebacker, where rookie Preston Brown will replace the underrated Bradham, and especially at defensive tackle, where either Corbin Bryant or Stefan Charles will start for Williams. (Both will see an uptick in playing time, as the Bills only have three healthy defensive tackles today.)
Just like last week, the Bills are likely to use a variety of players to fill in for Easley. In last week's loss to Houston, cornerback Corey Graham saw the largest snap increase with Easley sidelined.
Brown and Kouandjio have been healthy scratches for all five games this season, and Cockrell has been scratched for four straight.
