Bills vs. Dolphins inactives, 2015 NFL Week 9: Kyle Williams the headliner

The Bills will be without Kyle Williams. Who else is on the bench today?

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

After the bye week, the Buffalo Bills are relatively healthy as they head into their divisional tilt against the Miami Dolphins Sunday.

The biggest injury news of the week came on Saturday when the Bills activated Leodis McKelvin from the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. He's expected to handle kick return duties today and might also get some time at safety. He won't see much time at cornerback with the play of Ronald Darby and Stephon Gilmore. To make room for McKelvin, Buffalo placed wide receiver Percy Harvin on Injured Reserve, ending his season.

Starting QB Tyrod Taylor returns to the lineup following the bye. He is recovered from a sprained MCL. The other big return is Karlos Williams, who has been out since Week 4 when he suffered a concussion. Boom Herron is inactive in his spot.

As for the inactives, Kyle Williams is certainly the biggest name on the list. He's expected to miss at least the next two games with a sprained PCL. Cyrus Kouandjio, the team's swing tackle, was also ruled out late this week with a knee injury that popped up out of the blue (at least publicly).

Here's your full list of inactives:

  • DT Kyle Williams (knee)
  • OT Cyrus Kouandjio (knee)
  • CB Mario Butler (healthy scratch)
  • RB Boom Herron (healthy scratch)
  • OG Gabe Ikard (healthy scratch)
  • QB Josh Johnson (healthy scratch)
  • LB Randell Johnson (healthy scratch)
