For a while, many Buffalo Bills fans had the "here we go again" mantra as the Miami Dolphins kept hanging around. Then Jerry Hughes changed the trajectory of the game and the season allowing Buffalo to hang a 33-14 win over Miami.
Hughes popped through the defensive line, sacked Ryan Tannehill, forced a fumble, then recovered it. A few plays later, Tyrod Taylor hit Sammy Watkins for a 45-yard touchdown and the Bills never looked back. Watkins had two long catches including the score in the best game of his career. He finished with eight catches for 168 yards.
Offensively, the Bills relied on these big plays in the passing games but also got plenty of big plays from the running game. LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams both had touchdown runs of over 35 yards and finished over 100 yards rushing each.
The Bills (4-4) even their record and send the Dolphins (3-5) back to finish their season with a large hill to climb. Buffalo now has a short week before they face the Jets on Thursday Night Football in their bright red jerseys with their season on the line.
