Sammy Watkins injury: Buffalo Bills receiver will play but be limited, per report

How much will Sammy Watkins play today? No one knows, but it will be more than zero.

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins is expected to suit up for today's divisional showdown against the Miami Dolphins. That's the report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Watkins was listed as questionable on the Bills' injury report after missing the majority of Friday's practice with a heavily bandaged ankle he hurt catching a touchdown pass in Week 6. Despite missing the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the extra time of the bye week, Watkins has not fully recovered.

While some criticized the young receiver over the bye week for heading to Disney World instead of healing up, this is a curious choice for him to return if he's not 100%. The Bills have a short week before they face the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football and any setback today would mean he'd be out for that game.

We'll see if he is indeed listed as active and how much he will play.
