Buffalo Bills place Robert Woods, Seantrel Henderson on IR

The Buffalo Bills placed three players on the IR and cut a fourth on Tuesday, while signing numerous players off of the practice squad and a former New York Jets receiver from the street.

Tuesday was a busy day for the Buffalo Bills at One Bills Drive. The team placed wide receiver Robert Woods, right tackle Seantrel Henderson, and linebacker Randell Johnson on reserve lists, released kick returner Marcus Thigpen, and added four players to their active roster plus a fifth to the practice squad.

Woods' season ends thanks to a groin injury; his third season as a Bill concludes with 47 catches for 552 yards and three touchdowns. Henderson's illness finally placed him on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list. Johnson injured his ankle in Washington.

In corresponding moves, the Bills promoted rookie wide receiver Dezmin Lewis, wide receiver Walter Powell, and defensive lineman Jerel Worthy from its practice squad. Additionally, the team signed street free agent Greg Salas, who played 18 games for Rex Ryan with the New York Jets between the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Lastly, the Bills signed 2013 Denver Broncos seventh-round pick Zac Dysert, a quarterback from Miami (OH), to the practice squad.
