Bills vs. Cowboys inactives, 2015 NFL Week 16: Ronald Darby out

Not including the players that are already on Injured Reserve, the Buffalo Bills are playing without two starters on offense and two more on defense today against Dallas.

The Buffalo Bills have announced their list of seven inactive players for today's game against the Dallas Cowboys, and it includes four starters - two on offense, and two on defense. The full list:

  • QB Josh Johnson (healthy scratch)
  • RB LeSean McCoy (knee)
  • TE Charles Clay (back)
  • DL Lavar Edwards (healthy scratch)
  • ER Max Valles (healthy scratch)
  • LB Nigel Bradham (ankle)
  • CB Ronald Darby (groin)

Darby's absence is the biggest news of the day; he had been listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis only two out of the three work days this week. The Bills' starting cornerbacks today will be Leodis McKelvin and Mario Butler, with Nickell Robey working in the slot and Ron Brooks - freshly returned from a concussion - serving as the reserve.

McCoy will be replaced by a combination of Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee. Clay's absence will mean a lot more playing time for Chris Gragg and Nick O'Leary, the latter of which will allegedly start today. Bradham's continued absence will mean more playing time for veteran Manny Lawson.

Johnson, Edwards, and Valles have been routine healthy scratches for as long as they've been on the roster this season.
