The Buffalo Bills (and every NFL team) must trim their rosters to 75 players prior to 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 1. After a day off for the players following their impressive showing against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills announced the follow cuts officially just before 10:30 this morning.

#Bills RB Fred Jackson was slated to make $2.35M in Buffalo this year. He was not asked to make a paycut. He was simply released.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) August 31, 2015
LB Ty Powell
Powell is the opposite of a cut. The injured linebacker can officially come off the Bills roster figure at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. In order to place him on Injured Reserve prior to that time, they would have had to expose him to waivers. They didn't want to risk losing him, so they protected him by waiting.
