In his four-year stint with the Buffalo Bills, defensive end Mario Williams recorded 43 sacks. 8.5 of those came in eight career games against Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins. Evidently, Miami was impressed by Williams' efforts against them, as they're flying the recently-released Bill into Miami today for a free agent visit.
Mario Williams is heading on a visit to Miami today, per source informed of the #Dolphins plans. Would add big-time help on the edge.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 5, 2016
This is Williams' first free agent visit since the Bills released him this past Tuesday. The 31-year-old will undoubtedly receive interest from other teams, as well, but the last time he was a free agent, he signed with the first team he visited after a several-days-long pit stop.
Buffalo saved $12.9 million in salary cap space when they released Williams this past week. Much of that space went to the franchise tag tender for left tackle Cordy Glenn, who signed said tender on Friday.
