Kyle Williams appeared on the John Murphy Show on Thursday night to discuss his recovery from last season's knee injury. You can listen to the interview here, and will notice that Williams sounds upbeat in discussing the upcoming season and his prognosis.
"I'm getting ready for a football season now rather than a rehabilitation," said Williams in the most encouraging part of the interview. A healthy Williams is key to the success of Rex Ryan's defense and great news to Bills fans as the Bills off-season conditioning program begins on April 18.
The Buffalo Bills' issues on defense last season, and having Williams out for the last ten games of the season only added to those struggles as his leadership was sorely missed in his absence. That fact was not lost on Williams.
"Knowing that our guys were going through some growing pains and communications problems, and knowing that I could have helped with that was tough," the former Pro Bowler noted.
Williams also briefly shares his thoughts on the departure of Mario Williams and Nigel Bradham, the addition of Rob Ryan, and his new defensive line coach John Blake.
