Buffalo Bills interested in TE Jared Cook

Former Packer is also drawing interest from Detroit

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo is reporting that free agent tight end Jared Cook is drawing interest from the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions.

Cook, who turns 30 next month, just finished his only season with the Green Bay Packers. He also spent time with the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans over his eight-year career. In 117 games, Cook has caught 303 passes for 3,880 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Cook has been relatively healthy over the course of his career, but he did miss six games last season due to a sprained ankle. In ten games in 2016, Cook caught 30 passes for 377 yards and a touchdown. He also had a memorable catch in the playoffs that help the Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys.

Last year, Cook played under a one-year, $2.75 million contract. While he was expected to re-sign in Green Bay, that hasn’t materialized. He is one of the top tight ends on the market.
