Buffalo Bills 53-man roster projection 2015: the final countdown

Now that the Buffalo Bills have officially wrapped up their 2015 preseason schedule, they have one task left before turning their attention in full to the Indianapolis Colts: finalizing their 53-man roster. That process has to be (mostly) complete by 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, but there are already indications that it may begin in earnest today.

With that in mind, it's time for one last stab at projecting the Bills' 53-man roster that they'll take into Week 1 against the Colts. Let's dive right in, shall we?

Offense

• QB (3): Tyrod Taylor, EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel
• RB (4): LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams, Bryce Brown, Boobie Dixon
• FB (1): Jerome Felton

Notes: If you're asking me, the Bills are making a mistake if they part ways with Cassel at this juncture... Don't be surprised if the Bills go thinner than expected at receiver, especially early in the season... Gragg has clearly beaten out Nick O'Leary for the fourth tight end job, if it ends up existing... The Bills would be wise to explore the waiver wire for better offensive line depth.

Defense/Special Teams

Notes: I'll take Carrington over Stefan Charles at this point simply because of his positional versatility, but that's a toss-up... Reddick looked good enough in his Bills debut to displace A.J. Tarpley as the emergency linebacker until Steward's return... The Bills could look into keeping an eleventh defensive back while McKelvin is down, and that player does not necessarily need to be on their roster today... Ryan isn't happy about his kickers, but unless a good one is randomly cut, the team will probably stick with their status quo from last season.
