This report came about 30 minutes after Carucci tweeted this: "Taylor pulled me aside in Bills locker room to briefly say he's not looking to leave the team despite being benched for Sunday." Also, ESPN's Adam Schefter later confirmed Taylor's trip to Philadelphia.

It probably had nothing to do with waving the white flag and surrendering, but the imagery is there.

91 Year Old Marv Levy Says He'd Be Open To Coaching Bills Again

We all love Marv and the glory Bills teams of the 90s but there's no way this would ever be a good idea. The game has changed an awful lot since 1997. Is there anybody out there who would be in favor of this?

Former Bill Keion Carpenter passes away

The former Bills' safety played for the team from 1999-2001. Carpenter started 22 games after entering the league as an undrafted free agent from Virginia Tech. With the Bills, he totaled 5 interceptions (all in 2000), and 53 solo tackles. He died while playing with his son in what the family called a "freak accident"; he slipped and hit his head, and he was in a coma before succumbing to his injuries. He was only 39 years old.

What Bill Polian said about Rex's D schemes - a year ago. The man was right, as usual.

To Polian, the system is far from simple. His comments related to the Bills' defensive struggles, and to complaints from several Bills players that the system was, indeed, too complex: "You need veterans to make that defense work. First of all, the players thrived in another system [in 2014 under Jim Schwartz] – in a simple, straight forward, very easy to understand, very easy to communicate system where there was constant repetition of the same thing over and over again, taught in a very straight-forward way. And the techniques were geared toward what the players could do, what their skill sets were, and the plans were constructed around the players and what they could do. Rex’s defense is just the opposite. It is not straight forward. It’s exceedingly complex. There is no carry over learning from one week to the next. There’s exceedingly complex language. There are exceedingly complex checks that have to be made at the line of scrimmage. There is a guy designated to make those checks. It was ... Ray Lewis in Baltimore and it was ... Jimmy Leonhard with the Jets … I remember asking one of the Jets’ coaches during the offseason, ‘How in God’s name can you put Jimmy Leonhard on the field?’ He said, ‘No one else can translate the defense, no one else can get everybody lined up.’"
